Tiger Beat will be rocking YALLFest again this year & this time they’re taking requests!
Want them to play your song & get on stage when they do? Here’s how:
1. Choose a song you want Tiger Beat to cover- your favorite song, a song that inspires you or a song that reminds you of your favorite book, scene, etc.
2. Record a short video of your performing/lip-syncing/generally rocking out to your song.
3. Post the video to Instagram and include @yallfest & #TigerbeatSongRequest with an explanation of why you chose the song.
That’s it. The band will choose their favorite video and perform it live at YALLFest. We’ll also play your video before the show & if you’re there, you can come on stage and help them out!
Contest ends September 6th!
Here’s Tiger Beat’s (mostly fictitious) bio:
After meeting while still in elementary school in New York, four future YA authors formed Tiger Beat. Their latest album, Gonzo Was Robbed, weaves Libba Bray’s politically charged lyrics with Dan Ehrenhaft’s arena-ready power chords, Natalie Standiford’s face-melting bass riffs, and Barnabas Miller’s searing drumming. Together they churn out genre-defining anthems chock-full of fist-pumping hooks, tinged with after-notes of dysfunction and identity confusion.
