If you could spend a week in any book world, which would it be?
How could I pick anything but Harry Potter?! I want to go to the Hog’s Head and drink firewhiskey with the rebel wizards.
What is the best word (in any language) and why?
I can’t tell you, because it’s my password on at least half a dozen websites! But here are a few good ones: gossamer, luminescent, gloaming. I love words that sound as beautiful and mysterious as their meanings.
Who are you most excited to see at YALLFest?
My wonderful phone-a-friend, Gayle Forman. And for similar reasons, I’m excited for Cassandra Clare and Holly Black’s keynote about literary friendships.
What is your favorite flavor of pie?
Lemon sour cream, eaten in the company of my father. It’s his favorite, too.
